I was fortunate enough this summer to help create the dream dress for one of the sweetest ladies I've met in a while. Having found love the second time around, Valerie and her Sweetie tied the knot not long ago, end of August. Valerie has and had quite a full plate in her life, making this dress and her wedding even more special. And the utmost effort went into finding just the right fabrics for the dress. The perfect shade of apricot pink shantung under a layer of embroidered net so elaborate and delicate, like I haven't seen in a long time. Swarovsky crystal drops dangle from the short sleeves and the gown features a train which complete folds inside and up the backskirt, to stay put there with a series of snaps. And because I couldn't think of a better person or dress to give them to, I donated some vintage glass buttons to this project, to compliment the swarovsky crystal drops. |
