For her wedding, Sara wanted nothing but pure simplicity. She felt that adding too much trim would distract from what she was trying to express. So we let the fabrics used do the talking in a subtle way for her. The embroidered crinkle sheer we used for the top layer is actually an interior deco material. It has a border design on one side. The base layer is a natural white dull satin. She wanted a small train, which can be carried via a loop in the center seam. The only thing added is a simple white band of satin at the underbust and she liked the sheer sleeve design I have used on other gowns. Mission accomplished! As with black, white is hard to photograph, especially indoors due to bad weather, the pictures don't do the dress justice, it is very stunning in real life. |

For the bridesmaids she choose a celery green dull satin. She liked that the maids for Hope had a colored band added to the front of the underbust, so we did that here, too, in a sage green shantung.
I get to wear all kinds of fancy stuff, even if it's just for a 5 minute photo shoot with my son ! Please excuse the socks and the bad hair do. This pic will be replaced as soon as I have a pic from Sara once she gets married..... |
