Welcome to the Regency. Called the Empire in France, the Regency in England and the Federal period in the US, this fashion era actually has several distinct style periods and roughly begins around 1800 and ends somewhere around 1855. What came after is the Civil War fashions. Called the Regency for the Prince-Regent in England, King George's oldest son had to take over after his father went mad. The very early Regency, also known as the French Directoire is my favorite. Most of my work in this era lands somewhere between 1800 and about 1815. The buttons below will take you to some of my most memorable dresses, all of whom where customer orders.
