Prema's wardrobe...

Well, I was at it again. Trying to re-create my clients idea of a neo-raphaelitic dress, we ventured out into a style a lot of people would also call somewhat medieval. The end result is a form fitting dress with a back zipper, tight fitting long sleeves and a large flared skirt. I also made the belt suggested by the pattern. Prema supplied a silk sari shawl for the main body in a drop-dead gorgeous color, if you hold it one way it shimmers blue, the other, it shimmers red. The other material came from the Pelisse I made her, pictured below.
My fee to make this gown is $100, materials extra.
Here's the pelisse I made for Prema, she liked the one Kate Winslet wore in Sense and Sensibility. I think I came pretty close. It's about mid calf length. Under it is the second dress she had ordered, she wanted a wrap front bodice.
