Molly's Prom Gown...
Instead of posting the pics I took , I'll just post the one's Molly sent me after her prom, they are AWESOME! Molly had a small problem when it came to deciding what to wear for Prom. She is rather full chested and the strappy little halter dresses that are so in fashion right now are not doing much for her. And the same with the strapless bustier gowns. So she decided to go with a Regency gown. I would say it was the best decision she ever made, she looks splendid. To properly support her bust and give her the period correct look, she wore a corset.
She looks straight out of a Jane Austen movie!
The dress itself is made from a dull sheen burgundy satin over an ivory charmeuse that was overlaid with lace in the front, where it's exposed. The cap sleeves are double, exposing the same charmeuse and lace in the center.

Problem with a corset is that you might not be able to reach your feet........No wonder they had maids helping to get dressed.
