Most delightful day dress, featuring a lilac floral motif whith a solid white skirt. Skirt is trimmed with a row of 3 inch wide ruffled lace, headed by a lilac satin ribbon. The same lace also makes for a very romantic look at the neckline.Cuffbands are about half an inch wide. Dress buttons up the back with 4 natural shell buttons. Inspired by an Ackerman fashion plate from 1802, which called this a "Paris dress", this gown is a semi formal and made from a poly shantung. The neckline, sleeves and hem are banded in a cherry red shantung as well. Bodice is lined, skirt is not. Gown closes in the back with 4 beautiful mother of pearl buttons and features self fabric covered buttons as accents. It is handwash or machine wash gentle cycle.
