Ada sent me some really kewl pics of herself wearing her dress. I just love that bonnet, too! She looks like a doll...
She sent me some absolutely georgeous colored eyelet in a cream base with tiny pink and green flowers. The bordered side of the material, which I used for the skirt, is to die for. This material comes from Europe, England to be exact. I made a matching sack purse to complete the outfit and the back closes with the prettiest real shell buttons I have ever seen. Fanny Price would love to wear this one...

Ada's velvet coat
Here's the velvet coat I made for Ada. The idea came from the motion picture "Mansfield Park". The coat is made from cranberry colored velvet, lined in  a wine red cotton and for added warmth, a layer of thinsulate was added. It buttons down the front. The sleeves are less puffy than my previous coat/jacket projects. I embroidered some key areas with chainstitch in 2 different red tones. Ada sent me a pic of herself wearing the coat and she has received nothing but compliments when she wears it out!
The coat was really hard to photograph, because of the velvets color and texture. I had to lighten the pics quite a bit. They don't do this beauty justice, it looks ten times better in real life.

Here's a pic of the second dress I made for Ada. She wanted something to go with that beautiful bonet she is holding. Well, she got what she asked for!
